As the growing conflict forces Logan to embrace his newly discovered heritage, he fights to control a power he has long kept buried—a power that threatens everything he has tried to make of himself. Desperate to spare Astarti yet another burden, he tries to hide his crumbling control, but she has long since learned to recognize a lie. As Logan becomes a danger to himself and those around him, Astarti must find a way to help him, even if he doesn’t want it.
Unfortunately, Astarti has other problems. Good and evil wear ever-shifting faces, the right course of action grows increasingly unclear, and the stakes are only getting higher. In this final installment of The Griever’s Mark trilogy, Astarti must decide, once and for all, what she stands for—and what she is willing to sacrifice.

It was a satisfying end to the trilogy. Everything wrapped up nicely, and we even got an epilogue. Hurley's world building was incredible, and her descriptions pulled me right into her world. The way she described everything, even someone trying not to break down and cry was brilliant and I marveled. I highly recommend these books for readers who like dark stories with lots of triggering elements. She doesn't shy away from going all in with psychological consequences of abuse, and bringing them alive in her characters. It was compelling, gut-wrenching, and realistic. So why only 4 stars? The biggest struggle for me was the first half of the book. I love romance, and it's my main pull to stories, but I found myself incredibly frustrated with many of the characters and had difficulty enjoying the read. Lack of communication, and a plethora of convenient interruptions preventing some needed talks left me wanting to throw things. While Logan's psychological damage was incredibly well done, you really have to put up with a lot of self-hate, erratic and self-destructive behavior, and little communication between him and Astari. They kept getting interrupted, which got so annoying, and it dragged on and on. It was hard for me to enjoy the first half of the book when all I wanted to do was bang their heads together and punch everyone who thought about interfering in the face.
That being said, Logan and Astari did have some very sweet and powerful moments together. I just wish the author didn't wait so long to confront some of his issues and take his character to the next level.

Unbound The Griever Mark series Book 3 eBook Katherine Hurley Reviews
Best book in the trilogy and easily favorite! The first two were ok but I enjoyed this ending way more than I anticipated.
This ha's been an interesting read. I confess I wasn't sure how it would end.
This was an interesting book. I wasn't sure how it wou!d end. I enjoyed it.
Such heartfelt love woven into each chapter, it is almost impossible to not feel a deep emotion for all of the characters. It feels almost as if you were in the story yourself. Beautiful!
Grest series with deep multidimensional characters. All the characters in this series have either been through hard times or currently going through hard times, and there is actual psychology behind how it affects them, how they respond and how they heal. It makes for a very heartwrenching but believable read. This final book wraps the series up beautifully.
These books resonated with me because of the angst felt by the lead characters. My brother is much the same as Logan - repressing his true feelings for reasons unknown, bottling anger to be released in raging outbursts. His solution will one day hopefully be the same as my brothers. Thank you for writing it so well.
This was non stop from beginning to end. Astarti is a true heroine. She fights for truth, justice and her undying love for Logan. The whole cast of characters step it up a notch on the whole evil scale. Poor Logan cannot seem to control his gifts. He pushes away astarti and in turn starts to lose himself. Belose is his slimy evil self but over indulgence is his fatal flaw. The old ones are loose in the world wreaking havoc. The world is literally coming to an end. This was pure literary crack. I. Couldn't put it down.
Loved the conflict resolution, like really loved it. Reading about Logan s struggle was painful. This booked touched on so many peaceful places in the midst of such darkness. Beautiful contrast!!!! The breaking of Belos was so perfect. Love humbles us all... Its always the answer, Kronos couldn't have been a better teacher even up to that last hopeless conflict of the characters. Thank you for this journey Katherine.
